People ask me all the time why we added the Addictometer to Mouseaddict. The answer is simple: we’re park-hoppers. We like to see which park is busiest and what lands are most often visited or which attractions are most often examined in the app. The Addictometer shows all of that.

Here’s what makes this a really cool feature: It allows you to, depending upon your mood, visit the busiest park or visit the calmer one… although that may be a misnomer in the busy Christmas season or sunny summer months.

The Addictometer also allows you to discover attractions that other people enjoy, but that you might have overlooked before. For example: “It’s Tough to Be a Bug!” I really recommend this. I walked right past this one dozens of times, but it’s been on the Addictometer dozens of times as one of the most “seen” locations.

“It’s Tough to Be a Bug” is a California Adventure attraction. The adults out there may think that they would not like this, but I beg to differ. I went in with three other adults, fully ready to make fun of it. However, walk in with your eyes open—literally—and you’ll find many cute touches. Some of the jokes are corny, but hey, they are aimed at kids! And the animatronics in the show are almost unmatched in any other Disneyland attractions—I can only think of Lincoln and a few of the newer Pirates that come close to the lifelike movement of these animatronic wonders.

If it hadn’t been on the Addictometer, many of our app users out there would not have known what it was—much less that it was being visited by you, the Mouseaddicts out there.
